Recommend A Coach
Have you ever received a message or a booking request from a player or parent, but have been unable to help? Maybe you're fully booked, your schedules don't align, or you're simply too far away. Recommend another coach on the Coachability platform and earn 10% commission. For further details, click here.
Travel Radius
If you're flexible on location or available to travel for training you can enter how far you are willing to travel. This then shows up on your coach profile and could well be a deciding factor for a player or parent when deciding which coach to book. To edit your 'Travel Radius' go to the 'Profile' section on your coach dashboard.
Did you know?
Edit Session Date & Time
You can edit the time and date of the session without having to decline or ask the client to rebook. To do this, accept the session, then go to the "Sessions" tab and click view info on the specific session. You can then click the pencil icon to change the session date & time.
Exceptions
It's important to keep your availability up to date so that your potential clients know when you will be able to train with them. If you are unavailable to coach for any period of time, please use the "Edit Exceptions" feature which can be found in your Profile tab. This feature is ideal if you are going away on Holiday or even if you're just unavailable for one day which you normally are available for.
Coach Partnership Agreement – Summary
Welcome to Coachability! Here's a brief overview of the key expectations and platform policies all coaches must follow.
✅ First Session Booking Requirement
All first-time sessions must be booked via Coachability. This ensures smooth onboarding and protects platform integrity.
Failure to comply will result in suspension or removal.
💷 Commission
Coaches earn 50% of the session fee for first-time bookings. This includes platform support and admin.
📅 Service Standards
To maintain quality and trust, coaches must:
- • Keep availability accurate and up to date
- • Respond to messages and booking requests within 24 hours
- • Ensure all first sessions are booked through Coachability
- • Maintain at least a 25% enquiry-to-booking conversion rate
🤝 Coach Responsibilities
- • Contact clients promptly after booking
- • Be on time and prepared for sessions
- • Keep training locations current
- • Provide 24+ hours' notice for cancellations
- • Maintain professional communication throughout
🚫 Prohibited Conduct
- • Sharing contact info before booking
- • Accepting payment or organising sessions off-platform
- • Unprofessional behaviour or misrepresenting information
- • Subcontracting sessions to others
⚠️ Policy Enforcement
- • Off-platform bookings = immediate removal + Non-Circumvention Fee
- • Multiple declined bookings = £5 admin fee per cancellation (after one free/month)
- • Coachability may withhold payments in the event of serious breaches
- • Disputes must go through Coachability support first

Frequently Asked Questions
After completing your first training session, you'll
have the opportunity to leave a review for your
coach. Reviews are super helpful for other parents
and players looking to find the right fit, so we'd
love for you to share how your session went!
How to leave a review:
1. Sign in to your account at
www.coachabilitygroup.com
2. Head to your coach's profile and scroll to
the Reviews section
3. Rate your experience from 1 to 5 stars (1
= lowest, 5 = highest), and include a few details
about your session
4. Click "Submit Review"
Thanks for helping others discover great coaching!
Once you've found a coach you're interested in,
you can message them anytime by clicking the "Message
Coach" button on their profile. Your
message will be emailed directly to the coach,
and their reply will be sent straight to your
inbox.
If you'd like to speak with the coach over the
phone, you'll first need to submit a booking
request. Just click "Book Now" on any of
their available packages. Once the coach accepts
your request, their phone number will be
automatically shared with you.
If after your chat you feel it's not quite the
right fit, no problem — we can either transfer
you to another coach or arrange a full refund.
Please note: for safety and privacy, messages can't include phone numbers, emails, social media handles or website links until a session is booked.

We ask you kindly to abide by the terms and conditions which can be read in full here.
For the safety and integrity of our community, we do not allow:
• Exchange of contact information before a booking takes place

Making payment to a coach outside of the Coachability platform
•
Encouraging a coach to accept payment outside of the Coachability
platform
Coaching Services not arranged through Coachability
In using Coachability you agree and acknowledge that in cases where
the parties have initially been introduced through the service, it
is an express violation of these terms for either party to offer or
accept the provision of coaching services between the parties
without arranging such coaching services through the
service.
Verification of such an arrangement will result in
the immediate termination of the applicable members' accounts and
legal action being taken for loss of earnings.

A friendly message that gives a bit of background about your child is a great place to start. For example:
Suggested message:
"Hi [Coach's Name], I'm looking for coaching for my [son/daughter], aged [X]. They love football and are looking to improve their [specific skill, e.g. confidence, passing, fitness]. Could you let me know a bit more about your sessions and availability?"
📝 Tip: Feel free to include your child's playing experience or any goals they're working towards — it helps the coach tailor the session better.
Introduce yourself and let the coach know what you're looking to improve. For example:
Suggested message:
"Hi [Coach's Name], I'm an adult player looking to improve my [e.g. fitness, technical skills, confidence]. I'd love to hear more about how your sessions work and when you're available."
📝 Tip: Mention your playing experience, current level, and any goals you have — whether you're just starting out, play casually, or play competitively. This helps the coach tailor the session to suit your ability and objectives right from the start.
Support & Guidance
To keep communication safe and fair for all users, contact details are shared only after a booking is accepted by a coach. This protects your privacy and ensures all communication stays within Coachability. We kindly ask that you follow our Terms & Conditions at all times. Thank you!
Coaches usually respond within 24 hours. If you don't hear back in that time, you can contact Coachability Support for help or consider contacting another coach.
📝 Tip: Each coach has a response time rating shown on their profile:
- Very Fast or Fast means that their average reply time is within a few hours.
- Average typically means it may take over 24 hours.
Response times can vary depending on the time of day and the coach's schedule, so don't worry if you don't hear back right away.
When a coach replies to your first message, you'll receive both a text and an email notification. For any following messages, you'll receive an email notification only.
📝 Tip: Sometimes our email notifications can land in your spam or junk folder, so be sure to check there and update your email settings to allow messages from Coachability. You can also log in and check your Coachability inbox at any time to stay up to date with replies.
Payments & Platform Policies
Recommended reply:
"Thanks for your message! All payments need to go through the Coachability platform for the first session. This keeps everything secure and ensures both of us are protected. Let me know if you need help booking!"
📝 Coach note: Politely decline off-platform payments for the first session. Any such cash arrangements will result in your profile being removed from Coachability.
Recommended reply:
"I'm sorry to hear that! If you need to request a refund, please contact Coachability directly at [email protected] and they'll be happy to help."
📝 Coach note: Don't handle refunds yourself. Always direct clients to Coachability Support.
Communication & Contact
Recommended reply:
"Thanks! For safety and to stay within Coachability's guidelines, we need to keep all communication on this platform until a booking is accepted. Once accepted, you'll get my contact details automatically."
📝 Coach note: Contact info (email, phone, etc) should only be shared after a booking is made. This protects you and the client and keeps things fair for all coaches.
Recommended reply:
"I completely understand! Feel free to send me any questions here and I'll do my best to help. Once a booking is confirmed, you'll automatically receive my contact details if you'd prefer to speak directly."
📝 Coach note: Encourage messaging within the platform to stay protected. You can always clarify details once the session is booked and accepted.
Recommended action:
It's okay – clients sometimes browse or forget to reply. You can follow up once, politely, after a day or two.
Follow-up suggestion:
"Just checking in to see if you had any questions or needed help booking a session"
📝 Coach note: If there's still no reply, leave it be. The client may return later — no need to keep chasing.
Scheduling, Cancellations & Rescheduling
Recommended action:
If a client cancels with enough notice, the session can be rescheduled. If they don't show up or cancel last-minute, you are entitled to payment due to our 24-hour cancellation policy.
📝 Coach note: Contact support if you're unsure whether a session should be paid out.
Recommended action:
Try to agree on a new date and time with the client via the messaging system. Once confirmed, go to the 'Upcoming Sessions' section in your dashboard and click the blue pencil icon to edit the session details.
Suggested message to client:
"Thanks for letting me know — I'm happy to reschedule. Let's find a time that works for both of us, and I'll update the booking on Coachability."
📝 Coach tip: After you update and save the new date/time, the client will automatically receive a notification with the revised session details.
Recommended action:
Don't worry — sometimes clients book without messaging first. You can take the lead and send them a friendly message to introduce yourself and confirm the session details.
Suggested message to client:
"Hi [Client's Name], thanks for booking a session with me! Just wanted to say hello and check in to confirm everything for [insert date/time]. If you have any questions before the session, feel free to let me know here."
📝 Coach note: If the client doesn't respond, contact Coachability Support and we'll do our best to reach out on your behalf.

If you know you're going to be unavailable for a couple of hours, a day or an extended period of time but still want to receive bookings outside of these times, then adding the period your unavailable is important.

To create a training location enter the full address including postcode in the search bar, press search and then click 'Save Location'

Booking Requests
Here you can view all your booking requests. Click
on 'View Info' to see booking details and then click 'Accept' or 'Decline' the booking.
Remember you can change the session date & time once you've accepted the booking by
going to 'Sessions' section, clicking 'View Info' on the session and then clicking the
pencil icon next to the date/time.

We recommend waiting 24 hours for a coach to update the session status. Social Profiles
If you have a social media channel we'd love to support and grow your following by sharing your content with a wider audience. Coachability has a following of over 30k across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Your Events
Here you can create a custom event such as a class, camp or group training session. With an event you can set the date, time, location and number of available spaces. Players can pay individually when booking.
Events you have entered
Here you can view any events you have booked onto. On Coachability coaches create events such as camps, classes and group training sessions for players to participate in.

Upcoming Sessions
Here you can view all your upcoming and completed sessions. Once you have completed a session click 'View Info' and then 'Completed'. This notifies Coachability that the session has been completed and payment can then be initiated.

Any money earned from completed sessions appears
here in your balance.
You can request to withdraw your money anytime by clicking the
'Withdraw' button. This notifies Coachability of your request and funds are transferred into
