Every coach on Coachability holds proof of their highest coaching qualification and has a minimum of 3 years' coaching experience. Beyond these qualifications, we require every coach to pass a rigorous verification process, ensuring you are in a safe and secure environment when training.
An identification check consists of 1 form of identification document, such as a passport or driving licence. This confirms that a coach is who they say they are, and that their identity matches the details on their Coachability profile. It's completed as part of every coach's application, before they're approved to go live on the platform.
An Enhanced DBS check contains details of convictions and conditional cautions considered to be 'unspent' under the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. It also details whether the individual has been barred from working with children and/or vulnerable adults.

Look for a coach who has experience coaching players at the level you play or aspire to play at, and with players of a similar age group. A coach who has played at the level you aspire to reach can also offer valuable insight into the pathway to get there — the dedication required, and more.
Look for reviews from current and past players and parents to get an insight into a coach's sessions and personality. Pay attention to recent reviews in particular, and look for patterns across several of them rather than judging on just one. Verified reviews are marked with a verification icon, so you can see at a glance that a review is from a real player or parent who's actually trained with that coach.
Coaches who consistently deliver a great experience — fast response times, reliable communication and strong performance over time — can earn Recommended status on Coachability. This isn't handed out at sign-up; it's earned through a proven track record on the platform.
